Product
Description
Passenger car and light-truck engines today are built
for fuel efficiency and power. AMSOIL Series 2000 Synthetic 0W-30 Motor
Oil optimizes efficiency and power without the sacrifice in wear
protection that comes with many fuel-efficient, low-viscosity oils.
Testing shows AMSOIL Series 2000 Synthetic 0W-30 Motor
Oil dramatically outperforms popular conventional and synthetic motor oils
of much higher viscosity in wear protection (see chart).
Fuel
Efficient Formula
AMSOIL Series 2000 Synthetic 0W-30 Motor Oil efficiently
transfers energy from the engine to the drivetrain. Its low coefficient of
friction inhibits the energy loss to "drag" common to high
viscosity oils.
Motorists seeking the ultimate in fuel efficiency may
use AMSOIL Series 2000 Synthetic 0W-30 Motor Oil in place of higher
viscosity motor oils.
High
Temperature Protection
AMSOIL Series 2000 Synthetic 0W-30 Motor Oil protects in
high temperatures better than do the high-viscosity conventional and
synthetic oils tested (see chart). Even after extended service in the
engine, Series 2000 Synthetic 0W-30 Motor Oil maintains its ability to
protect in high temperatures.
Low
Temperature Protection
AMSOIL Series 2000 Synthetic 0W-30 Motor Oil is
specially formulated for superior cold temperature engine protection.
Series 2000 retains excellent fluidity in extremely low temperatures, so
it flows quickly and reliably to allow easy starting and immediate
lubricating protection.
Motorists seeking cold temperature dependability and
protection may use AMSOIL Series 2000 Synthetic 0W-30 Motor Oil in place
of higher viscosity motor oils.
Heat
Stability
AMSOIL Series 2000 Synthetic 0W-30 Motor Oil is highly
resistant to volatility. For example, in heat that causes conventional
motor oils to lose as much as 25 percent of their mass, AMSOIL Series 2000
Synthetic 0W-30 Motor Oil loses less than ten percent.
AMSOIL Series 2000 Synthetic 0W-30 Motor Oil's
resistance to volatility keeps oil consumption extremely low and, more
importantly, keeps the engine thoroughly lubricated and protected. Its
resistance to volatility also helps keep fuel efficiency high and
emissions low.
Clean
Engine Formula
AMSOIL Series 2000 Synthetic 0W-30 Motor Oil remains
free of sludge, varnish and other by-products of high temperature
degradation. With no deposits to foul them, engines stay cleaner longer
for top performance and efficiency and maximum service life.
Shear
Stability
AMSOIL Series 2000 Synthetic 0W-30 Motor Oil is highly
shear-resistant. With AMSOIL Series 2000 Synthetic 0W-30 Motor Oil's
excellent viscosity retention, the protection that goes into the engine is
the protection that stays in the engine, even over an extended course of
severe service.
MIXING
AMSOIL
AMSOIL Series 2000 Synthetic 0W-30 Motor Oil may be
mixed with petroleum-based oils or other synthetic oils. However, a
mixture of AMSOIL Series 2000 Synthetic 0W-30 Motor Oil and another oil
may offer a shorter service life than pure AMSOIL Series 2000 Synthetic
0W-30 Motor Oil does.
SERVICE
LIFE

Unbeatable
Lubrication and Protection in High-Performance Gasoline Engines
Engines in race cars,
high-performance street cars, ATVs and motorhomes face high
temperatures, vigorous engine speeds or heavy loads, each a
potent stressor. AMSOIL Series 2000 20W-50 Synthetic Racing Oil
offers unmatched protection for engines facing tough operating
conditions.
Unbeatable
Wear Protection
AMSOIL Series 2000 20W-50
Synthetic Racing Oil is specially formulated to carry the oil's
wear reducing and heat transferring agents to the engine's
surfaces and hold them there. By positioning vital agents where
they are most needed, Series 2000 provides a degree of engine
protection unavailable with any other oil.
AMSOIL Series 2000 20W-50
Synthetic Racing Oil clings tenaciously to engine surfaces, so
it shields engines from start-up wear. Further enhancing wear
protection, AMSOIL Series 2000 20W-50 Synthetic Racing Oil's
wax-free lubricating basestocks assure rapid post-start-up
lubrication.
AMSOIL Series 2000 20W-50
Synthetic Racing Oil contains powerful corrosion preventives,
detergents, dispersants and anti-foam agents to protect engines
from the harmful effects of water, acids, debris,
deposit-forming materials and air entrained oil.
Boosts Power,
Speed and Efficiency
AMSOIL Series 2000 20W-50
Synthetic Racing Oil reduces friction so effectively that
virtually none of the engine's power is wasted on
"drag." Its extraordinary formulation gives Series
2000 a coefficient of friction lower than that of other fine,
race-formulated synthetic oils. With Series 2000, vehicles
accelerate fast, attain top speeds and use fuel efficiently.
Maintains
Integrity in Demanding Conditions
AMSOIL Series 2000 20W-50
Synthetic Racing Oil maintains a constant high level of
performance over time because it resists the damage many oils
undergo in high temperature, intense shearing force conditions.
Advanced thermal stability allows
AMSOIL Series 2000 20W-50 Synthetic Racing Oil to circulate
readily, thus protecting hard-to-reach areas that heat-damaged
oils grow too thick to reach.
Superior shear stability allows
AMSOIL Series 2000 20W-50 Synthetic Racing Oil to provide a

- ILSAC GF-3
|
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
AMSOIL XL-7500 Synthetic 5W-20 Motor Oil provides
superior wear protection, performance and fuel economy for 7,500 miles or
six months in vehicles calling for a 5W-20 motor oil. It exceeds 5W-20
lubrication requirements and offers a high degree of convenience and
savings through its ability to increase fuel economy and protect engines
for extended periods.
Resists High Temperature Vaporization
Conventional motor oils tend to "boil off" in
high temperatures, losing up to 15 percent of their original weight. These
vaporized oils circulate poorly, reduce fuel efficiency and contribute to
excessive emissions and engine wear. AMSOIL XL-7500 Synthetic 5W-20 Motor
Oil resists vaporization. In fact, according to the NOACK Volatility Test,
which measures the weight loss of an oil due to evaporations, AMSOIL
Synthetic 5W-20 only loses 9.8 percent of its weight in high temperature
service, surpassing rigorous European standards set at 13 percent weight
loss in high temperature testing. The superior vaporization resistance of
AMSOIL Synthetic 5W-20 keeps engine wear, oil consumption and emissions to
a minimum, while keeping oil circulation efficient and fuel economy high.
Enhances Fuel Economy and Reduces
Emissions
The low viscosity of AMSOIL XL-7500 Synthetic 5W-20
Motor Oil promotes maximum engine power with minimal frictional losses,
increasing fuel economy and reducing emissions.
Provides High Shear Stability
AMSOIL XL-7500 Synthetic 5W-20 Motor Oil retains its
protective viscosity at temperatures and loads that cause conventional
oils to shear back to a lower viscosity. AMSOIL 5W-20 remains a 5W-20,
preventing wear and promoting fuel efficiency under the hottest and
heaviest-loaded conditions.
Resists Oxidation and Thermal Breakdown
Conventional oils oxidize in high
operating temperatures, producing sludge and deposit build-up that
contribute to corrosion, increased engine wear and decreased fuel economy.
AMSOIL XL-7500 Synthetic 5W-20 Motor Oil resists oil breakdown,
maintaining its cooling and lubricating properties and providing extended
drain intervals. It continues to provide maximum protection at
temperatures that oxidize conventional oils. The advanced heat transfer
capabilities and high lubricity of AMSOIL XL-7500 Synthetic 5W-20 Motor
Oil keep engines running in their optimum temperature range for top

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
AMSOIL XL-7500 Synthetic Motor Oils are
specially formulated to provide outstanding wear protection,
power, fuel economy and performance for 7,500 miles or six months
of service. With AMSOIL XL-7500 Synthetic Motor Oils, motorists
driving 15,000 miles a year need only change their oil twice
annually. AMSOIL XL-7500 Synthetic Motor Oils offer a high degree
of convenience and savings through their ability to perform and
protect engines for extended periods.
Thermal and Oxidative Stability
The outstanding thermal and oxidative stability
of AMSOIL XL-7500 Synthetic Motor Oils ensure the long-term
physical and chemical integrity of the oils after exposure to
engine operating temperatures. Oils with poor thermal and
oxidative stability break down rapidly in engine operating
temperatures. After breakdown, oils lose their ability to
lubricate and protect engines, and the products of oil breakdown
form sludge, varnish, deposits and acids. Poor thermal and
oxidative stability are the top reasons conventional oils require
frequent changing.
Low Volatility
Low volatility makes AMSOIL XL-7500 Synthetic
Motor Oils highly resistant to oil consumption. High rates of oil
consumption reduce the total volume of oil protecting an engine,
impede oil's ability to lubricate, reduce fuel economy, increase
exhaust emissions and make frequent oil changes necessary.
Shear Stability
Superior shear stability ensures AMSOIL XL-7500
Synthetic Motor Oils maintain their protective viscosity
throughout their extended service life. Oils with poor shear
stability lose viscosity relatively quickly, and with it lose
their ability to protect engine components from metal-to-metal
contact and wear, especially in high temperatures. To ensure
proper engine protection, oils with low shear stability need
frequent replacement.
High Temperature Performance
AMSOIL XL-7500 Synthetic Motor Oils offer
outstanding high temperature engine protection and performance.
Their outstanding heat-transfer capabilities help keep engines
operating in their optimal temperature range in high-stress
conditions. Conventional oils often allow engine heat to climb
excessively during stressful operations, which promotes oil
breakdown and engine wear.
In high temperature operations, AMSOIL XL-7500
Synthetic Motor Oils are better able to provide clean, dependable
lubrication and protection than are conventional oils, due to the
superior thermal-, oxidative-, and shear stability and lower
volatility of AMSOIL XL-7500 Synthetic Motor Oils.
Low Temperature Performance
Wax-free synthetic stocks ensure the rapid flow
of motor oil throughout the engine after startup, protecting
engines when cold-stiffened conventional oils allow significant
wear. AMSOIL XL-7500 Synthetic Motor Oils' low temperature
fluidity also helps engines start dependable year-round and
significantly improves cold temperature fuel economy.
Fuel Economy and Power
AMSOIL XL-7500 Synthetic Motor Oils enhance fuel
economy and powerful performance. Their low coefficients of
friction ensure the maximum delivery of engine power with minimal
frictional losses.
Corrosion, Rust and Foam
Control
AMSOIL XL-7500 Synthetic Motor Oils seal out
rust, neutralize acids and resist foaming. Rust inhibition is an
especially important feature for engines subject to frequent
short-trip operations or for stored engines. Acid neutralization
protects engines from damage caused by corrosive by-products of
combustion. Foam resistance ensures protection against the
metal-to-metal contact and wear that occurs with foamy oils.
Additive Durability
AMSOIL XL-7500 Synthetic Motor Oils contain
top-quality additives designed for long-term performance. Loss of
additive performance limits the durability of conventional motor
oils. When conventional oils are left in place too long, they may
expose engines to increased rates of wear, corrosion, deposit
accumulation and sludge buildup. The long-life additives in AMSOIL
Synthetic XL-7500 Synthetic Motor Oils are designed to keep
engines clean and protected for 7,500 miles or six months,
whichever comes first.
APPLICATION
AMSOIL XL-7500 Synthetic Motor Oils meet or
exceed the following specifications:
- API SJ, CF
- ILSAC GF-2
- CHRYSLER MS6395 H
- FORD ESE M2C-153G
- GM 4718M & 6094M
- JASO VTW
- MERCEDES BENZ AG 226.1
MIXING AMSOIL
AMSOIL XL-7500 Synthetic Motor Oils are
compatible with conventional petroleum oils. However, AMSOIL does
not recommend using a mixture of XL-7500 oils and conventional
oils for 7,500-mile or six-month drain intervals.
Engine oil additives are not recommended for use
with AMSOIL XL-7500 oils.
NEW VEHICLES UNDER WARRANTY
All makers of domestic and foreign nameplate
vehicles sold in North America recommend the use of specific
viscosity grades of API certified oils. AMSOIL XL-7500 Synthetic
5W-30 and 10W-30 Motor Oils are API certified oils.
SERVICE LIFE
The recommended drain interval is 6 months or
7,500 miles; you should check fluids at periodic intervals and may
need to top off fluids levels.
If an AMSOIL SDF filter is used, filter should
be changed every 6 months or 7,500 miles. Change aftermarket or
OEM full flow filters with every oil change.

resists high temperature degradation and flows freely in cold conditions
for substantial reduction in engine wear. AMSOIL 5W-30 provides excellent
engine protection, maximum power, improved fuel efficiency and extended
oil drain intervals.
Resists High Temperature Vaporization
AMSOIL Synthetic 5W-30 Motor Oil resists vaporizing in
the high temperatures that vaporize petroleum motor oils. High
vaporization loss leaves a thicker, higher viscosity oil than is
recommended. The NOACK Volatility Test, which measures the weight loss of
an oil due to evaporation, shows that most 5W-30 petroleum motor oils fail
to pass the 13 percent ACEA pass/fail limit. In fact some oils lose as
much as 25 percent of their weight to volatility. AMSOIL 5W-30 Motor Oil
loses only 6.9 percent of its weight. AMSOIL 5W-30 remains a 5W-30. It
provides consistent high temperature protection and reduces oil
consumption and harmful emissions.
Resists Oxidation and Thermal
Breakdown
AMSOIL Synthetic 5W-30 Motor Oil resists the damaging
effects of heat, blowby chemicals and oxidation up to 10 times longer than
petroleum motor oils. AMSOIL 5W-30 resists forming varnish deposits and
sludge. It doesn't thicken like petroleum oils, but continues to cool and
lubricate, providing peak engine performance and extended drain intervals.
In addition, the advanced heat transfer capabilities and high lubricity of
AMSOIL 5W-30 reduce excessive operating temperatures of engines,
transmissions and gear boxes, so they run cooler, cleaner and longer.
Provides High Shear Stability
AMSOIL 5W-30 surpasses the North American SAE and
European ACEA oil specifications for high temperature/high shear (HTHS)
viscosity. It doesn't shear back to a lower viscosity oil in the high
temperature/high shear conditions of today's smaller, high RPM automobile
engines. AMSOIL 5W-30 maintains an extremely protective viscosity of 3.5
cP at 302°F (150°C) in the ASTM D-4683 High Temperature/High Shear Test,
far exceeding test limits of 2.9 cP.
Provides Low Temperature Protection
AMSOIL 5W-30 remains fluid at temperatures as frigid as
-60°F (-51°C). It permits easy engine cranking for fast starts and in
sub-zero temperatures flows to all engine parts much faster than petroleum
motor oils. The exceptional cold temperature properties of AMSOIL 5W-30
provide immediate cold start lubrication, greatly reducing engine wear and
prolonging engine life.
Resists Deposit Formation
Because AMSOIL 5W-30's synthetic formulation resists
oxidation so well, it runs naturally cleaner than petroleum motor oils.
AMSOIL 5W-30 also contains special detergent/dispersant additives that,
when tested after tens of thousands of miles of use in the crankcase,
still exhibit outstanding deposit control. This combination of natural
detergency and advanced additive package keeps AMSOIL 5W-30 effective for
up to 25,000 miles or one year in non-turbocharged gasoline-fueled cars.
Prevents Rust and Corrosion
AMSOIL Synthetic 5W-30 contains special rust and
corrosion inhibitors to protect iron parts, as well as copper, lead and
aluminum bearing materials.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
AMSOIL 100% Synthetic 10W-30 Motor Oil exceeds
the lubrication requirements of all modern automobile engines. It
provides tough lubricating protection in the most demanding
operating conditions. AMSOIL 10W-30 resists high temperature
degradation and flows freely in cold conditions for superior
protection against engine wear. AMSOIL 10W-30 also provides
maximum power and improved fuel efficiency.
Resists Vaporization
Conventional motor oils tend to "boil
off" in high temperatures. Losing up to 25 percent of their
original weight in high temperature service, vaporized oils grow
thick and heavy. They circulate poorly, reduce fuel efficiency and
contribute to excessive emissions and engine wear. Of course, oil
consumption skyrockets as oil boils off.
AMSOIL Synthetic 10W-30 Motor Oil is highly
resistant to vaporization, losing only 6.6 percent of its weight
in high temperature service. In fact, AMSOIL Synthetic 10W-30
Motor Oil resists vaporization so well, it surpasses rigorous
European standards, set at 13 percent weight loss in high
temperature testing. In the engine, AMSOIL Synthetic 10W-30 Motor
Oil's superior vaporization resistance keeps fuel economy high;
oil circulation efficient; and oil consumption, emissions, and
most importantly, engine wear, to a minimum.
Provides High Shear Stability
The shearing forces generated inside today's
smaller, high RPM automobile engines can literally tear apart the
molecules of conventional oils. AMSOIL 10W-30, because of its
unique synthetic construction, withstands shearing forces. AMSOIL
10W-30 doesn't thin out and lose viscosity like conventional oils
do. AMSOIL Synthetic 10W-30 Motor Oil surpasses the North American
AAMA, Japanese JASO and European ACEA oil specifications for high
temperature/high shear viscosity. AMSOIL 10W-30 delivers
long-lasting 10W-30 protection to prevent wear under the hottest
and heaviest-loaded conditions.
Resists Oxidation and Thermal
Breakdown
AMSOIL 10W-30 resists oil breakdown from heat,
blowby chemicals and oxygen longer than do conventional oils.
AMSOIL 10W-30 resists forming varnish deposits and sludge. It
doesn't thicken like petroleum oils, but continues to cool and
lubricate, providing peak engine performance, power and
protection. In addition, the advanced heat transfer capabilities
and high lubricity of AMSOIL 10W-30 keeps engines, transmissions
and gear boxes running in their optimal temperature range, for top
performance and long life.
Provides Low Temperature
Protection
AMSOIL 10W-30 remains fluid at temperatures as
low as -54°F (-48°C) so it permits easy engine cranking for fast
starts. During sub-zero temperatures, it flows to all parts of the
engine in much less time than conventional petroleum oils take,
which greatly reduces the rate of wear and increases engine life.
Resists Deposit Formation
Because AMSOIL 10W-30's synthetic formulation
resists oxidation so well, it runs naturally cleaner than
conventional oils. AMSOIL 10W-30 has a superior
detergent/dispersant additive package that, when tested after tens
of thousands of miles of use in the crankcase, still exhibits
outstanding deposit control.
Inhibits Rust and Corrosion
AMSOIL 10W-30 contains powerful rust and
corrosion inhibitors to protect iron parts and bearing materials.
Provides Extended Drain
Intervals
Due to its superior synthetic composition and
advanced performance additives, AMSOIL 10W-30 performs much longer
than do conventional petroleum and other synthetic motor oils. No
other major oil manufacturer matches AMSOIL's 25,000-mile or
one-year drain interval recommendations.
APPLICATION
AMSOIL 100% Synthetic 10W-30 Motor Oil is
designed to provide maximum benefits in gasoline-fueled engines.
It is recommended for applications requiring the following
specifications:
- API SH, SJ, CF
- ILSAC GF-2, GF-3
- CHRYSLER MS6395 J, MS 9754
- FORD WSS M2C-153G
- GM 4718-M
- VW 502.00, 505.00
- DB 229.1, 229.3
MIXING AMSOIL
AMSOIL 100% Synthetic 10W-30 Motor Oil is
compatible with conventional petroleum oils; however, mixing
AMSOIL 10W-30 with a conventional oil will shorten the drain
period of AMSOIL 10W-30. Engine oil additives or after-market

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
AMSOIL SAE 60 Synthetic Super Heavy Weight Racing Oil is
designed for high horsepower racing engines, typically supercharged and
alcohol-burning or nitro-fueled, and requiring a high viscosity oil to
resist the thinning effects of fuel dilution.
AMSOIL Synthetic Super Heavy Weight Racing Oil is
formulated specifically for wear protection and friction reduction in the
extreme service conditions of racing. It has been proven on-track to
bring down high engine oil sump temperatures by 20 degrees F, which speaks
directly to its ability to reduce friction, promote power and inhibit
wear.
MOTORCYCLE APPLICATIONS
AMSOIL Synthetic Super Heavy Weight Racing Oil is
formulated with a complete American petroleum Institute (API) SJ/CD
additive system. AMSOIL Synthetic Super Heavy Weight Racing Oil may
be used in all engines for which API SJ/CD SAE 60 oils are specified.
AMSOIL Synthetic Super Heavy Weight Racing Oil is also
formulated with a complete Japan Automobile Standards Association (JASO)
MB additive system. AMSOIL Synthetic Super Heavy Weight Racing Oil
may be used in motorcycles requiring JASO MB oils. Such engines
include vintage and classic motorcycles, often equipped with air-cooled
engines, and specifying straight grade SAE 60 oils.
HEAT STABILITY
AMSOIL Synthetic Super Heavy Weight Racing Oil is highly
resistant to thermal degradation and oxidation. Even in long-term
high temperature service, AMSOIL Synthetic Super Heavy Weight Racing Oil
maintains its specified chemical and physical properties, forming no
sludge, varnish, deposits or acids and maintaining its specified viscosity
and ability to protect and lubricate engines.
OIL CONSUMPTION
AMSOIL Synthetic Super Heavy Weight Racing Oil is highly
resistant to evaporative losses, which keeps oil consumption rates low.
Low rates of oil consumption allows oil to flow freely without significant
"boil-off" thickening to ensure dependable engine lubrication
and protection.
CORROSION, RUST AND FOAM CONTROL
AMSOIL Synthetic Super Heavy Weight Racing Oil seals out
rust, neutralizes acids and resists foaming. Rust inhibition is
especially important for engines subject to frequent short-trip operations
or frequent periods of storage. Acid neutralization protects engines
from damage caused by corrosive by-products of combustion. Foam
resistance ensures protection against metal-to-metal contact and wear that
occurs with foamy oils.
VISCOSITY RETENTION
AMSOIL Synthetic Super Heavy Weight Racing Oil is shear
stable, so the viscosity grade that's installed in the engine is the
viscosity grade that stays in the engine. That's especially
important for race engines, motorcycle engines and other engines subject
to high temperature/high stress operations. Viscosity retention
ensures the maintenance of a protective lubricant film between working
metal parts, which prevents metal-to-metal contact and consequent failure
or wear.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
AMSOIL High Performance Synthetic 10W-40 Motor
Oil provides superior protection and performance in the most
severe automotive driving conditions. AMSOIL High Performance
Synthetic 10W-40 Motor Oil provides a wide range of protection in
all four-cycle gasoline and diesel engines, including pickups,
RVs, cars and off-highway vehicles. It is recommended for use in
vehicles subject to stop-and-go driving, short trips, high
temperatures, frequent trailer pulling and off-road use.
RESISTS HIGH TEMPERATURE
VAPORIZATION
Conventional motor oils tend to "boil
off" in high temperatures, losing up to 25 percent of their
original weight. These vaporized oils circulate poorly, reduce
fuel efficiency and contribute to excessive emissions and engine
wear. AMSOIL High Performance Synthetic 10W-40 Motor Oil resists
vaporization. In fact, according to the NOACK Volatility Test,
which measures the weight loss of an oil due to evaporation,
AMSOIL High Performance 10W-40 only loses 7.0 percent of its
weight in high temperature service, surpassing rigorous European
standards set at 13 percent weight loss in high temperature
testing. The superior vaporization resistance of AMSOIL High
Performance 10W-40 keeps engine wear, oil consumption and
emissions to a minimum, while keeping oil circulation efficient
and fuel economy high.
RESISTS OXIDATION AND THERMAL
BREAKDOWN
Conventional oils oxidize in high operating
temperatures, producing sludge and deposit build-up that
contribute to corrosion, increased engine wear and decreased fuel
economy. AMSOIL High Performance Synthetic 10W-40 Motor Oil
resists oil breakdown, maintaining its cooling and lubricating
properties and providing extended drain intervals. It continues to
provide maximum protection at temperatures that oxidize
conventional oils. The advanced heat transfer capabilities and

Oil surpasses the North American SAE and European ACEA oil
specifications for high temperature/high shear (HTHS) viscosity.
It retains its viscosity at temperatures and loads that cause
conventional oils to shear back to a lower viscosity. AMSOIL High
Performance Synthetic 10W-40 Motor Oil maintains an extremely
protective viscosity of 3.93 cP at 302°F (150°C) in the ASTM D
4683 High Temperature/High Shear Test, significantly exceeding
test limits.
PROVIDES LOW TEMPERATURE
PROTECTION
AMSOIL High Performance Synthetic 10W-40 Motor
Oil remains fluid at temperatures as low as -54°F (-48°C),
permitting easy engine cranking for quick starts. During sub-zero
temperatures, it flows to all parts of the engine much quicker
than conventional petroleum oils, greatly reducing the rate of
wear and increasing engine life.
RESISTS DEPOSIT FORMATION
AMSOIL High Performance Synthetic 10W-40 Motor
Oil is highly resistant to oxidation, running significantly
cleaner than conventional motor oils. AMSOIL 10W-40 has a superior
detergent/dispersant additive package that, when tested after tens
of thousands of miles of use in the crankcase, still exhibits
outstanding deposit control.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
AMSOIL Synthetic Blend 10W-40 Motor Oil combines the
outstanding performance characteristics of synthetic oil with the economy
of conventional petroleum oil. The formulation includes the most advanced
synthetic base stocks, carefully selected petroleum base stocks and
state-of-the-art additive systems. AMSOIL Synthetic Blend 10W-40 is an
excellent choice for long, dependable, economical service. It provides
superior lubrication, reduces engine wear, improves fuel economy and
reduces engine temperatures.
Resists High Temperature Vaporization
AMSOIL Synthetic Blend 10W-40 resists high temperature
vaporization for reduced oil consumption. Conventional petroleum oils
contain a combination of light and heavy hydrocarbons. The extreme heat in
an engine can vaporize the light hydrocarbons and reduce the volume by
weight of a conventional oil by 25 percent to leave behind a thick, heavy
oil. Surpassing the ACEA/CCMC NOACK Volatility Test, AMSOIL Synthetic
Blend 10W-40 loses only 9.4 percent of its volume by weight due to
vaporization.
Resists Oxidation and Thermal Breakdown
AMSOIL Synthetic Blend 10W-40 resists oil breakdown from
heat, blow-by chemicals and oxygen up to ten times longer than do
conventional oils. AMSOIL Synthetic Blend 10W-40 inhibits the formation of
varnish deposits and sludge. It doesn't thicken like conventional oils,
but continues to cool and lubricate for peak engine performance and
improved fuel economy. In addition, the advanced heat transfer
capabilities and high lubricity of AMSOIL Synthetic Blend 10W-40 reduce
operating temperatures of engines, transmissions and gear boxes, so they
run cooler, cleaner and longer.
Provides Low Temperature Protection
AMSOIL Synthetic Blend 10W-40 remains fluid at
temperatures as low as -43ºC (-45ºF). AMSOIL Synthetic Blend 10W-40
permits easy engine cranking for fast starts, and it flows to all engine
parts much faster than conventional oil does. The outstanding low
temperature lubricating properties of AMSOIL Synthetic Blend 10W-40 reduce
engine wear and increase engine life.
Resists Deposit Formation
Because AMSOIL Synthetic Blend 10W-40's unique
formulation resists oxidation so well, it runs cleaner than conventional
oils run. AMSOIL Synthetic Blend 10W-40 has a superior
detergent/dispersant additive package that keeps the engine clean and
effectively holds deposits in suspension until they can be filtered out.
AMSOIL Synthetic Blend 10W-40's ability to keep engines clean makes it
suitable for long drain intervals.
Prevents Rust and Corrosion
AMSOIL Synthetic Blend 10W-40 contains powerful rust and
corrosion inhibitors to protect engine components from the destructive
effects of water and acids.
MIXING AMSOIL
AMSOIL Synthetic Blend 10W-40 Motor Oil is compatible
with conventional petroleum and other synthetic lubricants; however,
mixing AMSOIL Synthetic Blend 10W-40 with a conventional oil will shorten
the extended drain period of AMSOIL Synthetic Blend 10W-40. Engine oil
additives or after-market products are not necessary, nor recommended, for
use with AMSOIL Synthetic Blend 10W-40.
SERVICE LIFE
